Can I ask where you got the netbook? I'm looking to buy one but don't want Windows installed, I'd much prefer a Linux one.

Hi Dexter.

KDE4 runs awesome so far even with all the glitz of Compiz. It's not sluggish at all I'm really impressed at the performance of my Acer One + OpenSuSE combo.

Definately give it go.

Cheers.

How are you finding KDE 4 on the Acer? Is it responsive? I am currently running KDE 3.5.10 and I am finding it a little sluggish. I too have the A150 but mine has 1gb of RAM. After reading this I am tempted to throw out KDE 3.5.10 and replace it with the shiny new KDE 4.2.2. Just interested in your opinion.

Hi Elm.

Basically, you need to go into YaST Package Manager and add additional repositories to fix the dependency issues. Once you have done that you can try using the one-click installer from OpenSuSE.

Try this link: http://forums.opensuse.org/applications/411766-problem-compiz-fusion-install-via-1-click.html
